WEDDING

Welcome to the $500 wedding… Did I just say what I think I said.

Yep I did thats right. Pretty intense huh? Ok so the $500 dollar wedding is pretty simple… Let me explain.

First we take the couple…. two love birds if you will, ahhh fledging from the nest and ready to break their way out of their single shells and into the married world.

Location… check, Dress… check, Cake…. check, Doer of the I do’s… check, Chair in far far far back for old uncle Sal… check, etc., etc., etc… check and finally the most important and stupendous decision of all… the photographer.

With all the immense and crazy decisions that a couple has to make, the photographer should be the least of your worries.

Nowadays it costs an arm and a leg for everything, that’s where the $500 Wedding comes into view. To get to the point we charge $500 to shoot your wedding. We add on tax and a little bit of travel fee’s if were moseyin’ out to the far reaches, but that’s generally very minimal.

For $500 you get your wedding photographed by a pro shooter from start to finish, usually not extending over an 8 hour stretch. You get all your photos spruced up in photoshop and placed on a handy dandy Data DVD and all the rights to the photos everything is signed over to you and is all yours! I mean hey what am I gonna do with thousands of other people’s wedding photos floating around my house anyway?

The turnaround time for this great endeavor is usually about a week minus however long the old snail mail takes these days.

Why so cheap and how can you trust me to take great photos at your wedding?

VALID QUESTION! As you’re looking for photographers don’t just ask why so cheap but why soo darn expensive.

I’ll be blunt in saying this is a side gig. By day I’m a photographer for a newspaper in California’s Central Valley.  It’s a small paper and I’m proud of its great feats for such a little engine. I also run Wanderings of an Intrepid Soul, an adventure blog, which is why you see theintrepidsoul.com in front of the $500 wedding ur. My passions lie in photographing the news and happenings in the world, to tell stories and inevitably make a difference.

So why weddings? Welp news nowadays doesn’t pay as good as the “I do’s”. So here we are.

A little bit about my wedding work ethic.

From square one I will say the wedding is about you two love birds and NOT THE PHOTOGRAPHER.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the horror stories of a bossy, cranky, whiney, steal the show its about me wedding photographer. Well throw that out the window because your big day is about you. If you have suggestions then we’ll roll with them so you can get what you want. The memory of your wedding day are just as important as the photos and you should have a great time. And plus a GOOD TIME = GOOD PHOTOS.

To make things flow a little smoother I have what I call a prenup photo contract that the photographer will sign guaranteeing a grand appearance and hard work to boot.
