An archaic kazoo extraordinaire. A high-fiveing fiend. A gumptious traveller. An intrepid soul. Boaz Frankel.
Boaz recently passed through Lodi. He came by yacht from the bay and then an aerobatic agricultural helicopter dropped him in the heart of our wine country. A carriage, duffy boat and kayak took him away. All a stop nearly stuck in the fly trap of Lodi.
Most of his means of travel have been donated. I give the 26 year old Portlander credit for finding sponsorship and planning the event the whole way through.
Boaz has been traveling all around the country with the goal of raising awareness about alternative means of travel. $5 gallon gas prices a couple years ago spurred the journey. Boaz will not travel anywhere by car until June 28. His trip, travels, and texts can be read at his site www.unroadtrip.com
What an amazing journey.

Heck yeah! Why drive my car when I can use alternative modes of transportation like my handy dandy helicopter!
Seriously though, is is a cool journey.
